Welcome to PastePaw. These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your use of the PastePaw application ("Software", "App", "Service"). By downloading, installing, or using PastePaw, you agree to be bound by these Terms.

1. License Grant

PastePaw is licensed, not sold, to you. Subject to these Terms and any applicable Mac App Store usage rules, we grant you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable license to:

• Install and use the Software on supported Apple-branded devices you own or control
• Use the Software for your personal or internal business purposes
• Receive updates and improvements that we may choose to provide

All rights not expressly granted to you are reserved by PastePaw and its licensors.

2. Acceptable Use

You agree to use PastePaw only for lawful purposes. You must not:

• Use the Software to violate any applicable laws or regulations
• Use the Software to infringe on the intellectual property rights of others
• Attempt to reverse engineer, decompile, disassemble, or create derivative works except where applicable law expressly permits it
• Use the Software to collect or harvest personal information about others without their consent
• Introduce viruses, malware, or any malicious code into the Software

3. Privacy and Data

Your privacy is important to us. PastePaw is designed to store all clipboard data locally on your device. We do not collect, transmit, or have access to your clipboard content. For detailed information about how we handle data, please refer to our Privacy Policy.

4. Disclaimer of Warranties

We do not warrant that:

• The Software will meet your specific requirements
• The Software will be uninterrupted, timely, secure, or error-free
• The results obtained from using the Software will be accurate or reliable
• Any errors in the Software will be corrected

5. Limitation of Liability

TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, PASTEPAW AND ITS DEVELOPER(S) WILL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY CLAIM, DAMAGES, OR OTHER LIABILITY ARISING FROM OR RELATED TO YOUR USE OF THE SOFTWARE.

This includes, but is not limited to:

• Loss of data or clipboard history
• Interruption of business or loss of profits
• Any direct, indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or exemplary damages

6. User Responsibilities

As a user of PastePaw, you are responsible for:

• Maintaining the security of your device and data
• Ensuring you have proper permissions to copy and store content in the clipboard history
• Configuring the "Ignored Applications" feature to exclude sensitive apps (e.g., password managers)
• Regularly backing up important clipboard data if needed
• Understanding that clipboard data is stored unencrypted in a local SQLite database

7. Third-Party Services

PastePaw may integrate with third-party services (such as AI providers for optional features). Your use of these third-party services is governed by their respective terms of service and privacy policies. We are not responsible for the practices or policies of third-party services.

8. Updates and Modifications

We reserve the right to:

• Modify, suspend, or discontinue the Software at any time
• Update these Terms at any time by posting the revised Terms on our website
• Release updates, bug fixes, and new features

Continued use of the Software after any modifications to these Terms constitutes acceptance of the modified Terms.

9. Mac App Store Additional Terms

If you downloaded PastePaw from the Mac App Store, your use is also governed by Apple's Licensed Application End User License Agreement (EULA). In case of conflict between these Terms and Apple's EULA, Apple's EULA shall prevail.

10. Termination

These Terms are effective until terminated. You may terminate these Terms at any time by uninstalling and ceasing to use PastePaw. We may terminate or suspend your access to the Software immediately, without prior notice, if you breach these Terms.

11. Governing Law

These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the jurisdiction in which the developer resides, without regard to its conflict of law provisions.

12. Severability

If any provision of these Terms is found to be unenforceable or invalid, that provision shall be limited or eliminated to the minimum extent necessary so that these Terms shall otherwise remain in full force and effect.

13. Entire Agreement

These Terms, together with the Privacy Policy, constitute the entire agreement between you and PastePaw regarding the use of the Software and supersede all prior agreements and understandings.
